Hoy anduve viendo algunas cosas en el festival Onedotzero, rescaté el sitio de Rex Box, diseñador y animador inglés, ¡muy bueno creando personajes!

Today I was in Onedotzero festival, and I came across Rex Box site, from an english animator and graphic designer, very good designing characters!

Muchas novedades ultimamente...hoy hago una breve aparicion en un programa de cable de la television argentina (repite lunes 14h y martes 11h) y ademas estreno nueva web!! Os pido si la podeis navegar y decirme si encontrais algo que se pueda mejorar. Igual no todas las novedades son buenas porque tambien se me estropeo la computadora :(

Todo lindo-hermoso, muchas gracias, Helena! Lo curioso es que llegó desde Guimarães, donde algún día llegaron también mis dos gatas (su mamá era portuguesa y su primer apellido Guimarães).

Everything sooo cute, thanks so much, Helena! The curious thing is that it traveled from Guimarães, like my 2 cats (their mother was portuguese and their first surname was Guimarães).

Según las palabras de Violeta en su blog "se trata de una campaña para la escritura de sueños en el mundo y su transformación en proyectos ilustrados. Los niños escriben los sueños en invierno... los ilustradores van cazando los sueños que mas les gustan para sintetizarlo en una sola imagen".

Estos libros de editorial Kalandraka miden 7x7 cm y son una réplica miniatura de las ediciones en tamaño grande. Éstos están en catalán, también se editan en español, gallego y vasco.

This is one of the books I liked the most in the Buenos Aires children bookfaire. It's called "What do you think you can do in my circus?", by Georgina Rôo and Maximiliano Luchini, published by Pequeño editor. Like the theme of the bookfaire this book is also about the Circus..

Fiestas clean

Otra ilu publicada el mes pasado en Clarín (firmada como Sonix). La nota habla sobre las fiestas "clean" (sin alcohol, drogas ni humo) organizadas por practicantes de Swásthya Yôga, uno de los más completos y antiguos tipos de yôga que se practican, lo recomiendo!

Another illustration published in Clarin newspaper (I signed as Sonix). The article was about clean parties (no alcohol, drugs or smoke) organized by young people who practices Swásthya Yôga, one of the most complete and ancient types of yôga, I recommend it!

Me encantan los sketchbooks (libros de bocetos) de Martha Rich (vía Petirrojo) y de Oliver Jeffers. Todos deberíamos tener algunos lindos sketchbooks propios!

Esta postal es un encuadre de una ilustración sobre CIRCO - hecha para la muestra del Foro de ilustradores en la Feria del libro infantil de Buenos Aires (14 al 30 de julio). Participan 155 artistas, habrá talleres, concursos y venta de postales. En cuanto inaugure la muestra posteo la imagen entera!

This postcard is part of an illustration about the CIRCUS - made for the Foro de ilustradores exhibition - in the Children's book faire of Buenos Aires (14th to 30th july). There will be 155 artists taking part, workshops and postcards sale. I will post the entire illustration as soon as the faire starts!

Pros y contras

Lo bueno de ilustrar es que de alguna forma me permite vivir un poquito en la piel de cada personaje, conocer lugares nuevos, recorrer el mundo...lo malo es que no logro despegarme del asiento!

Good things about being an illustrator: in some way I can live inside every character, I can discover new places, travel around the world...the bad thing is I can't take off my seat!
